&CRISEYDE uses the tenets of queer theory, live musical accompaniment, and performance art to wrestle with the 'post-modernism' of Chaucer’s original work. The script blends old english with online dating, dance theatre, and bodily functions. By subverting the dominant narrative, emphasizing the voices of the marginalized, and not giving into a moralistic view of life, &CRISEYDE asks: what right do we have to abuse and manipulate characters to serve our own narrative ends?
